A crew member of Swiss airline has tragically died a week after an emergency landing in the Austrian city of Graz. The Swiss airline has expressed deep sadness over the death of the young male staff member.

The aircraft, an Airbus A220-300, was en route from Bucharest in Romania to Zurich, Switzerland last Monday. Due to engine problems, smoke filled the cabin and cockpit of the aircraft. The plane, carrying 74 passengers and five crew members, made an emergency landing in the southern Austrian city, where everyone was evacuated.

Twelve passengers and two crew members were treated at the hospital. The deceased crew member was the only one admitted to the intensive care unit. No further information has been released regarding his identity. All other occupants have been discharged from the hospital.

An investigation into the cause of the incident is still ongoing, as stated by a Swiss spokesperson on Monday.
