Stichting Brein wants to tackle more uploaders

- Anti-piracy organization Brein is a new system to try more uploaders of copyrighted media are trying to trace. That says director Tim Kuik against the NIS.

According Kuik, the foundation wants major distributors of movies, TV series and music deal. For this, it will use an automated system to search through BitTorrent to scale uploaders. Download BitTorrent is a protocol that is widely used by media pirates. Through the system, the IP addresses of diffusers are collected. Every Internet user has a unique IP address, which can determine who exactly upload media. For this last step to run, the ISP of the uploader, however, must cooperate. They will require a court order before they go on playing information. Also, Brein in the Data Protection Authority filed an application for the system.
