Germany Arrests Three Suspected Russian Spies for Sabotage
Authorities in Germany have detained three Ukrainian nationals on suspicion of planning attacks on behalf of Russia. Vladyslav T. was captured in Cologne, Daniil B. in Konstanz near the Swiss border, and Yevhen B. in the Swiss canton of Thurgau, awaiting extradition to Germany. The arrests took place between Friday and Tuesday.
Alleged Roles and Incidents
The prosecutor stated that Vladyslav T. sent two test packages from Cologne in late March, containing GPS trackers for route reconnaissance. Yevhen B. allegedly orchestrated the operation, while Daniil B. acted as an intermediary for the package contents. The planned explosions bear resemblance to a parcel bombing incident in Leipzig last summer, allegedly involving Russian agents.
