Russia is building the first nuclear power plant Egypt

- Egypt gets its first nuclear power plant. The complex with four reactors built by Russia. The two countries have since Thursday in the Egyptian capital Cairo on an agreement concluded, the Russian news agency Interfax reported Thursday.

The nuclear power plant will be built in El Dabaa, a town on the Mediterranean coast 140 km west of Alexandria. The construction will last twelve years. The cost is not disclosed.

It is the largest joint project since the construction of the Aswan dam. It came in the sixties created with the help of the then Soviet Union.
