Police in Peru Use Grinch Costume in Drug Raid

lima - In a creative move, the police in Peru utilized a Grinch costume to conduct a drug raid in San Bartolo, a southern part of Lima.

The Grinch, known for his dislike of Christmas, was dressed in green from head to toe, including a Santa Claus suit. According to the police, this disguise allowed the agent to move unnoticed in San Bartolo after participating in a Christmas activity prior to leading the raid.

A video released by the police shows the Grinch breaking open the front door of a house and entering the property with colleagues. Arrests were made and drugs were found inside the house.

This is not the first time the police in Peru have used costumes to get close to suspects. In February, an officer dressed as a teddy bear to surprise a drug dealer around Valentine's Day, resulting in an arrest. Previously, officers have disguised themselves as superheroes as well.
