Main Suspect Arrested in Connection with Fatal Stabbing

Following the fatal stabbing incident in the French city of Mulhouse on Saturday, four individuals have been apprehended. The police had already detained a 37-year-old man, born in Algeria and listed for counterterrorism. The motive behind the attack has not been disclosed yet. French President Emmanuel Macron labeled it as a 'terrorist act' of 'Islamic nature'.

The stabbing resulted in the death of a 69-year-old Portuguese national, with five others injured, including two parking attendants and three police officers. Two of the injured are reportedly in critical condition, as reported by local media outlets. The French government is scheduled to hold an interministerial meeting on immigration this Wednesday, according to French Foreign Minister Jean-Noël Barrot's statement on Europe 1 radio.
