united states - US President Donald Trump signs executive order targeting Gaza supporters in the country, potentially leading to deportations.

Trump's Executive Order on Deportations

US President Donald Trump signed an executive order this week allowing for the deportation of foreigners participating in Gaza-supportive and anti-Israel protests. The order states that foreign individuals in the US should not display hostile behaviors towards American citizens, culture, government, institutions, or foundational principles, nor should they defend designated foreign terrorists or other threats to national security. During his election campaign, Trump had promised to deport foreign students participating in campus protests against Israel's actions, labeling them as 'terrorist supporters.' The inclusion of 'supporting foreign terrorists' in the order raises concerns that pro-Palestinian protesters could be accused of supporting Hamas. In his first term, Trump imposed entry bans on several Muslim countries.
