Death toll rises to 47 fire Bucharest

bucharest - Ten days after the devastating fire in Colectiv club in Bucharest has increased the number of deaths to 47. A woman died Monday in a hospital in Israel, where she was transferred to a few days earlier. A man died of his injuries in Bucharest.

Because there exist too few special beds in Romania for patients with severe burns, 35 victims have been transferred to hospitals in recent days abroad. In Romania Monday were still 72 wounded in hospitals.

The disaster prompted violent street protests, which resulted in the resignation of Prime Minister Victor Ponta. Many Romanians blame for the fire in corruption and thus the government. The fire broke out due to a fireworks show during the occurrence of a rock band for which the club did not have permission.
