brussels - The Belgian Interior Minister, Jan Jambon, from January may decide to revoke passports of jihad suspects. People who are thought to want to join the jihad in Syria, for example, three to six months will lose their passport or ID card.
The Belgian newspaper Le Soir wrote Saturday that the National OCAD, responsible for combating terrorism, has agreed to the measure. OCAD determine the threat assessment in Belgium and may advise the minister to take the identity papers of suspects.
