Russia is threatening Facebook again

Russia is again threatening Facebook with a blockade.

Russia claims that data about Russian users is stored on servers in Russia. Officially, it must protect the privacy of Russians, but critics see it as an attempt to mull people on social media. Russia previously blocked LinkedIn, a Microsoft subsidiary.

The threat of Russia comes a few days after a hearing with Facebook in the US Senate. In that, Facebook and other social media talked about Russian attempts to influence American voters in the recent presidential elections. Russia would like to stumble into turmoil.
