President Poland in talks with High Court

Polish President Andrzej Duda has agreed in a conversation with the first president of the High Court, Malgorzata Gersdorf.

Despite the sanctions of the European Union and the sharp criticism of international lawyers, the ruling Justice and Justice Party (PiS) puts forward the reform of the Supreme Court. The plan has already been accepted by the warehouse and is now being processed in the Senate. Approval certainly seems because the PiS also has the majority there. Then it is only Duda to sign the bill.

To prevent that, Thursday demonstrated thousands of people in Warsaw and called on the president to veto. Also Friday was protested in many places in Poland.
