Nearly million Tintin drawing

A drawing of Tintin creator Hergé has delivered 967 279 euros at an auction in Hong Kong.

It is a study drawing with Chinese ink for a fresco in the cultural center of Wallonia and Brussels in Paris, where the famous characters are depicted in the comics of Tintin. The yield is a new world record for a postwar work of Belgian artist deceased in 1983, according to the auction house.

An original sketch of the Tintin book Coke in stock yielded more than 223 000 euros.
