Great action police Italy against mafia

The Italian police arrested tens of thousands of suspects in a major operation against the mafia in three cities and seized over 50 million euros of property.

In Reggio Calabria in the extreme south of the Italian mainland, the police captured dozens of alleged members of the Ndrangheta. They are suspected of membership of the mafia, extortion and fraud.

In Naples and Florence, the police arrested nineteen people who would be members of the Naples-mafia Camorra. Among them is also the head of the influential Mallardo family.
