Death-assured Thai pops up after 2 years

A well-thought-out Thai has suddenly turned up to be missing after almost two years, to the horror of his relatives.

Now that the 44-year-old Sakorn Sachiwa is alive and kicking and, according to the authorities, has submitted a request to regain his identity, it will probably always remain a mystery whose ashes have been buried. The family had doubts at the time because the deceased had sound teeth and their Sakorn missed front teeth.

The police were nevertheless convinced that it was because he had found a passport in the name of Sakorn Sachiwa on the dead body. The rightful owner stated that during his migration through the country as a seasonal worker he had lost his papers.
