'He wants us to meet, and we are working on arranging that,' said Trump at his residence in Mar-a-Lago in Palm Beach. 'President Putin wants us to meet, he has even said it publicly, and we need to stop this war, which is a real waste,' added the future President of the United States.

Trump, who will take office on January 20, pledged during his election campaign to end the war in Ukraine 'within 24 hours.' During Joe Biden's presidency, the US has been the main supporter of Ukraine since the start of the Russian invasion in 2022, providing over $65 billion in military aid.
