united states - American electric car manufacturer Tesla has recalled approximately 240,000 vehicles in the United States due to a rear view camera issue.

American electric car manufacturer Tesla has issued a recall for around 240,000 vehicles in the United States. The US National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has announced that Tesla is recalling certain 2024-2025 Model 3 and Model S, 2023-2025 Model X, and 2023-2025 Model Y vehicles due to a rear view camera problem.

The statement highlighted that a short circuit in the computer circuit board could cause the rear view camera image to disappear, reducing the driver's rear visibility and increasing the risk of a collision.

The statement mentioned that the potential number of vehicles affected by the recall is 239,382, and Tesla has released a software update that can be done remotely to address the issue at no cost to the owners.

It was also noted in the statement that Tesla will identify all vehicles experiencing or likely to experience circuit board failure, and these computers will be replaced free of charge.
