oslo - Norwegian mass murderer Anders Breivik has once again requested early conditional release thirteen years after his attacks. His own lawyer believes the chances are slim this time.

Norwegian mass murderer Anders Breivik has once again requested early conditional release thirteen years after his attacks. Two years ago, the court denied his request for release, and his own lawyer doubts he will succeed this time. Breivik spoke before the judge for 45 minutes on Tuesday, expressing some remorse for his actions while also justifying the attacks as 'necessary.' He claimed he is being treated 'like an animal' in prison. The right-wing extremist terrorist argued that he should be released to persuade his followers to cease their attacks on Norwegian society, stating, 'I guarantee you would not regret it.'

Prosecutor Hulda Karlsdottir emphasized in court that Breivik should not be released. The risk of him repeating his crimes is considered too high. The court reached the same conclusion in 2022.

On July 22, 2011, Breivik bombed Oslo and carried out a massacre on the island of Utøya, killing 77 people. He received the maximum sentence of 21 years in prison, which can be extended as long as he is deemed a threat to society.
