cuba - An explosion occurred in a military depot in Cuba, where military materials were stored. Initial reports suggest that 13 soldiers are missing after the blast.

An explosion took place in a military depot in Cuba, specifically in the Melones area of the Holguin province, where military materials detonated for reasons yet to be determined, according to the Ministry of Revolutionary Armed Forces (Minfar).

Following the explosion, it was reported that 13 soldiers could not be reached. A significant number of search and rescue teams have been dispatched to the area, as stated in the official announcement.

Authorities have informed the families of the missing soldiers and emphasized that the Armed Forces are exerting maximum effort to resolve the incident. As a precautionary measure, approximately 500 people living in close proximity to the incident site have been evacuated under the measures taken by the Holguin Provincial Defense Council and the Ministry of Armed Forces.
