ibiza - Spanish police on Ibiza have dismantled a criminal gang engaged in drug trafficking and robberies in luxury homes. The gang targeted houses in secluded residential areas popular among tourists, such as Platja d'en Bossa and near Ibiza airport.

The gang robbed homes and transported stolen goods to the mainland where they were sold on the black market. Police seized a stockpile of marijuana, luxury watches, and mobile phones with an estimated value of 170,000 euros. The operation was part of the 'Safe Tourism Plan' launched by Spanish police to combat crime in tourist hotspots.

Earlier this month, two men and a woman were arrested on Ibiza for allegedly breaking into villas at night and using a form of sleeping gas to incapacitate residents.
