Historical visit Prince William to Israel

The British Prince William will be the first British 'royal' to visit Israel and the Palestinian territories occupied by Israel this summer.

The role of the British in establishing a Jewish state in Palestine is still controversial. The last British troops withdrew in May 1948, which immediately led to the declaration of the state of Israel. A great-grandmother of William, Princess Alice of Battenberg (1885-1969), was buried in Jerusalem

William does not take his wife Kate Middleton, the Duchess of Cambridge, on a trip. The Duchess expects their third child in April. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu welcomed the announcement of the Royal Palace in London. He looks forward to the historic visit. The president of Palestine, Mahmoud Abbas, is also pleased with the arrival of Prince William, according to British diplomats. The British Royal Palace has not yet let us know when the visit is.
