Pep Guardiola Plans '15-Year' Coaching Break After Man City Exit

Pep Guardiola has reiterated his intention to take a break from coaching after departing Manchester City, potentially for as long as 15 years. The 54-year-old, City's most successful manager, with 18 trophies including six Premier League titles and a Champions League, is set to end his contract in 2027.

Guardiola's Decision

While Guardiola has not disclosed the exact departure date, he has affirmed his need for a sabbatical, stating, "I know that after this stage with City I'm going to stop, that's for sure. It's decided, more than decided."

Challenging Season

Despite facing criticism and a trophyless season, Guardiola remains resolute, emphasizing the need to focus on self-care and recovery after a tough period at the club. He reflected on the challenges faced by City, including injuries and disappointing results, but remains optimistic about the team's future.

Optimism for the Future

Guardiola is confident that City will bounce back stronger from their setbacks, viewing the recent season as a learning experience. Looking ahead, he believes the team will perform better in the upcoming season and expects a positive trajectory for the club in the next five to ten years.

City is gearing up to start their Premier League campaign against Wolves on Aug. 16, with Guardiola's focus on rejuvenating the team and aiming for success in the upcoming season.
