Brussels march against police brutality banned

The city of Brussels does not give permission for a demonstration against police brutality.

The Campaign Stop-RĂ©pression wanted to hold a protest march on Wednesday evening against the brutal act of the Brussels police. In particular, the police violence in the event of disturbances and looting on 11 November, after Morocco had qualified for the World Cup, would have thrown oil on the fire.

In more than two weeks time it came to a confrontation three times. The police in the Belgian capital is divided into six zones and according to critics this can not act decisively. For example, there appears to be no scenario in case there are disturbances in unannounced gatherings.
