Callum Wilson Set to Depart Newcastle United

Newcastle United striker Callum Wilson, 33, will bid farewell to the club this summer, concluding his impactful five-year spell with the team. Wilson, who joined Newcastle in a £20 million ($27.2m) deal from Bournemouth in 2020, made significant contributions during his time at the club.

Impressive Performance and Achievements

During his tenure, Wilson scored a total of 49 goals in 130 games for Newcastle, showcasing his prowess on the field. Notably, he played a crucial role in the club's victory in the 2023-24 Champions League and made a memorable appearance in last season's Carabao Cup final triumph over Liverpool, marking the end of the club's 70-year trophy drought.

Wilson expressed his gratitude to the fans, stating, 'To all you Magpies, it's time to say goodbye after an unbelievable few years at the Toon. Thank you for everything. We stood strong together through the highs and some lows to help the club experience new heights.'

As he prepares to become a free agent, Wilson reflected on his pride in wearing the iconic No. 9 shirt and contributing to the club's history. He added, 'Scoring at the Gallowgate end really is as special as they say. All good things come to an end, but there's no doubt Newcastle United will always have a place in mine and my family's hearts.'
