Your Android smartphone sales? This removes all information

- If you are planning to buy a new smartphone and want to sell the old, do not forget to erase sensitive information. We explain briefly how you store on an Android smartphone data, delete and what to look for.

A smartphone is personal, so undoubtedly there is much information available that you want to keep. Just look at your contacts. These can be synced with your Google Account. You do this by going to Settings. Then tap General, scroll down and press Accounts sync and Google. Under Accounts you see are your Gmail account, tap.

There will appear a list of data that you can sync with your Google account. Press the components that you want to do it, and then check on your Google account if it worked. You can also save your contacts manually on your SIM card, though it has limited storage capacities.

It can be useful to export your contacts into Gmail in a separate file, so you have a backup of that data. This is especially helpful if you switch to Android, but there are more to remember times when it can be useful. And it is fortunately very simple.

Log in to Gmail and click Contacts on the left top. Select More, and then click Export. You can now choose which group you want to export, or perhaps all your contacts. Opt for Google to create a CSV file that can be read by Gmail, and Outlook CSV to create a backup that you can transfer to Outlook, Live Mail and other platforms. Click Export, choose Save on schiijf and confirm with OK.

You shoot occasionally a snapshot with your phone, so make sure you save those photos to your smartphone reset. There are various ways, for example by connecting your phone with a USB cable to your PC.

Open the folder of your phone and go to the camera folder where you stored the photos. This varies smartphone. Select all photos and place them in a folder on your computer. Remove them now only on your phone. Make sure you seek out the photos only if all are removed from your smartphone, because it may be that residual images are not deleted when resetting to factory settings.

However, Google itself has a great way to make a backup of your photos, own Photos app. If you have set it, so the app automatically backs- up your photos in Google Drive, you can pick up on any device again. So you have nothing to worry about, and you do not lose your photos.

It is very simple to remove your SD card and SIM card, but especially the SD card is sometimes overlooked. Do not forget to remove it from your phone before you reset your smartphone to factory settings. Also remove your SIM card from the phone before you proceed.

The full reset your smartphone is extremely important. You not only reset your account and Belgian data, you will also ensure that all sensitive information from the phone are removed. If, for example online banking, you do not want the buyer can find your login details. The same goes for your Skype or Facebook account. By putting your phone back to factory settings, all stored data will be deleted. Also, your phone connection to Google is removed.

 Everything removed and repositioned? Time for a reset!

You put your Android smartphone to the factory settings by going to Settings. Go to General, scroll down and look under in Personal Backup amp; reset. Setting Press, tap Factory Settings and Phone again. Select Clear All and confirm your selection. Your smartphone will reset and you can now safely leave it.
