Woman finds large lizard in her salad: 'I had to surrender'

portsmouth - An American nurse did not know how she had it when she suddenly found a 7.5 cm long lizard in her salad. She put her fork in the salad and suddenly found a hard piece. That turned out to be a dead lizard, without a tail. The woman, Michelle Carr, was in shock. 'I felt miserable and had to surrender.'

Just the thought that she might have been able to eat the beast made her very nauseous. The lettuce was bought in a supermarket in the harbor town of Portsmouth, located in the US state of New Hampshire.

According to a spokesperson for the supermarket, the packaged salad would come from California. It had been transported by ship. The American Food and Consumer Product Safety Authority is going to do research.
