Witte Huis captivates private telephones

World January 4, 2018 14:36

washington - The White House prohibits employees and visitors from using their own mobile phones in the West Wing. There are the offices of the president and his close associates.

Chief of Staff John Kelly would be the driving force behind the smartphone ban, which will take effect next week. President Donald Trump repeatedly complained about employees who leak to the media, but according to sources the measure has nothing to do with this.

White House spokesperson Sarah Huckabee Sanders said Thursday in a statement that security is a spearhead for the government. Employees must start working on government equipment. According to a source within the White House, too many devices are connected to the wireless network in the building. Private telephones would also be less safe than government devices.

Not all staff members are happy with the new policy. They complain that they can not send text messages with their work phones. That would be the easiest way to maintain contact with family members at busy times.
