The medical team reported that Pope Francis is now able to sit up in a chair and do some work from there, without the need for any medical devices. His spirits seem high as he is reportedly making jokes again.

A week ago, Pope Francis was admitted to Gemelli Hospital in Rome with bronchitis, which later developed into a double pneumonia, raising concerns about his health. Pneumonia can be life-threatening for older individuals and other vulnerable groups.
