Tottenham Hotspur has finalized a deal worth €25 million to secure the services of centre-back Kevin Danso from Lens. Danso, 26, will join initially on loan with a purchase obligation in the summer. The Austrian international, previously close to joining Wolverhampton Wanderers, opted for a 5½-year contract with Spurs. His addition aims to bolster the squad amidst injury concerns, including Radu Dragusin's recent setback. Danso, who played for Southampton on loan in 2019-20 before joining Lens, has made 128 appearances for the French club and earned recognition in the Ligue 1 team of the year 2022-23. Spurs are actively seeking reinforcements across various positions before the transfer window closes, having recently missed out on Mathys Tel due to the player's rejection.
