islamabad - A recent advertisement by Pakistan International Airlines referencing 9/11 has sparked controversy and raised concerns over its appropriateness.

A recent advertisement by Pakistan International Airlines promoting air travel between Islamabad and Paris has stirred controversy for its imagery resembling 9/11. The ad features an airplane flying towards the Eiffel Tower, causing some viewers to draw parallels to the tragic events of 9/11.

Despite the backlash on social media, the airline has not removed the poster, prompting questions from users about whether it is meant as an advertisement or a threat. Pakistani journalist Omar Quraishi expressed surprise at the ad, questioning the airline's management for not foreseeing the potential negative reactions.

Pakistan International Airlines, known for previous controversies including safety concerns that led to a ban on EU flights, has not issued a response to the current backlash. This latest incident adds to the airline's history of controversial decisions, such as imposing weight loss requirements on cabin crew in the past.
