tbilisi - Georgia's largest opposition party has announced that they will not take their seats in parliament due to suspicions of election fraud, according to Georgian media reports.

The detained former president and opposition leader of Georgia, Mikhail Saakashvili, applauded the opposition party's move, calling for mass protests to demonstrate the fight for freedom and justice.

The Georgian Dream (GD) party, founded by billionaire Bidzina Ivanishvili, secured an absolute majority in the parliamentary elections with over 99 percent of the districts counted.

Georgia's President Salome Zourabichvili denounced the elections as 'total falsification' and also called for protests.
