- Arsenal is forced to offload a key player to balance finances, with Martin Ødegaard, Gabriel Martinelli, and Ben White potential candidates. Real Madrid eyes €100 million move for Rodri and Schlotterbeck.

Arsenal Forced to Let Go of Key Player in Summer Transfer Window

Arsenal is in a tough position as they need to offload a key player to meet financial regulations. The club, having recently spent over £260 million on new players, is now facing the challenge of raising funds to comply with financial rules.

Potential Departures

The Daily Telegraph reports that captain Martin Ødegaard, winger Gabriel Martinelli, and defender Ben White are among the candidates to depart. Internal discussions are ongoing to determine the player to be offloaded.

Real Madrid's Transfer Plans

On the other hand, Real Madrid is planning a significant move in the transfer market, earmarking €100 million for the acquisitions of Man City midfielder Rodri and Borussia Dortmund center back Nico Schlotterbeck. Rodri could command a €60 million fee, while Schlotterbeck is eager to join the Spanish giants.

Additionally, Real Madrid is eyeing Eintracht Frankfurt left back Nathaniel Brown, with interest from Barcelona and Manchester United. Brown might be available for a fee of at least €60 million.
