- Hamas demands release of all Israeli hostages and Palestinian prisoners in one go for the second phase of ceasefire.

Hamas Conditions for Ceasefire Second Phase

Hamas has outlined the conditions for the second phase of the ceasefire agreement with Israel. The first condition is the establishment of full ceasefire and calm. The second condition includes the complete withdrawal of Israeli forces from the Gaza Strip.

The third condition demands the completion of prisoner exchange in one go. Hamas emphasizes the need for international guarantees for all conditions, as stated in the UN Security Council resolution.

Hamas leader in Gaza, Halil el-Hayya, stated that Hamas is committed to implementing the ceasefire agreement. He highlighted the efforts with Qatari and Egyptian mediators to ensure Israel's compliance with the first phase conditions.

The three-stage ceasefire agreement between Israel and Hamas began on January 19. The first phase involved ending attacks, releasing a portion of hostages, Israeli forces withdrawing from densely populated areas in Gaza, and increasing humanitarian aid. The second phase aims for the release of all living Israeli hostages and full Israeli withdrawal from Gaza. The third phase includes the return of deceased hostages' bodies and initiating a major reconstruction process in Gaza.
