liverpool - Bayern Munich reaches a €75 million deal with Liverpool to acquire winger Luis Díaz, who is set to leave Anfield this summer after rejecting contract extensions.

Bayern Munich Secures €75M Deal for Luis Díaz

Bayern Munich has finalized a €75 million agreement with Liverpool to bring winger Luis Díaz to the German club, according to sources at ESPN. Díaz, who missed Liverpool's recent friendly against AC Milan, expressed his desire to leave the club last year, leading to failed contract extension negotiations.

Background and Interest

The highly sought-after player had attracted interest from Barcelona and Bayern earlier this summer, with Liverpool initially refusing to sell. However, after rejecting a €67.5 million bid from Bayern, the club has now agreed to Díaz's departure.

Productive Season and Contract

During his last season at Liverpool, Díaz scored 17 goals, contributing significantly to their Premier League triumph. The forward, who joined from FC Porto in 2022, is set to leave Anfield as his contract nears expiration in 2027. His exit will help offset Liverpool's substantial summer spending, which includes signings like Florian Wirtz and Jeremie Frimpong.
