Turkey holds German reporter at

- Turkey has a German journalist who wanted to enter the country stopped and firmly put on the Istanbul airport. It's Volker Schwenck, the chief of the office of broadcaster ARD in Cairo. The German government responded anxious and irritated.

Why Schwenck was stopped, is not clear. According to Turkish media, he is also shown.

Schwenck was en route from Cairo to the border between Turkey and Syria to make a report about refugees. He often traveled through Turkey to northern Syria to messages from rebel territory.
