Trump applauds Korea's talk

washington - US President Donald Trump has expressed a positive opinion about the recent rapprochement between North and South Korea. He wrote on Twitter that the willingness to consult is mainly thanks to him.

'Does anyone really think that there would now be talks and dialogue between North and South Korea if I were not firm and strong and had shown willingness to use all our' power 'against the North?', Asked the American president is wondering. 'But consultation is good,' he continued.

The North Korean leader Kim Jong-un said in his New Year's speech to be open to a dialogue with South Korea, an ally of the United States. He also did not rule out his country sending a delegation to the Olympic Games in February in Pyeongchang. Kim had a telephone hotline with the South reopened Wednesday.
