Topless activist wants to kidnap 'Jesus'

vatican city - An activist with bare torso has tried to steal the baby Jesus from a large nativity scene on St. Peter's Square. The police could prevent the woman from actually taking the picture.

The activist of the Femen feminist group chanted 'God is a woman' while she ran to the nativity scene. That slogan was also painted on her bare back, a photographer from Reuters saw. An agent could prevent the 'kidnapping' of Jesus. That happened about two hours before Pope Francis gave his Christmas message. The woman has been arrested.

The website of Femen called the activist a 'sextremist' who wanted to protest against the policies of the Roman Catholic Church concerning, among other things, abortion and contraceptives. The protest organization demands that the woman be released immediately.
