Sporting CP Demands Over €70m for Viktor Gyökeres Amid Man United Interest

Sporting CP's president, Frederico Varandas, has made it clear that striker Viktor Gyökeres will not be leaving for €70 million this summer, amidst interest from Manchester United and Arsenal.

Transfer Negotiations

Reports suggest disagreements over transfer fees, with Gyökeres reportedly unhappy with Sporting for not allowing him to move for less than his €100 million release clause, despite previous agreements.

Varandas' Statement

Varandas confirmed that while there was an agreement to not demand the release clause, no offers exceeding €60 million have been received by Sporting for Gyökeres.

Gyökeres' Performance

Gyökeres has been a standout performer for Sporting, scoring an impressive 97 goals in 102 games since joining the club in 2023.

His stellar form has attracted interest from top clubs, but Sporting remains firm on their valuation of the player.
