russia - A stray missile incident in Russia resulted in a huge fireball, cutting off power and water supply to an entire village.

Stray Missile Incident in Russia

A video shared on a Russian Telegram channel captured the moment when a stray missile caused a massive explosion, plunging a village into darkness without electricity or water.

The footage shows the filmmaker's car shaking violently several hundred meters away from the explosion, followed by a giant fireball.

Local authorities dismissed the incident as a stray missile fragment with no explosives. The missile landed 500 kilometers away from its intended target, causing significant damage.

This mistake comes at a high cost for Russia, as each KH-22 missile is estimated at over a million euros, while a KH-33 is valued at 3.5 million euros.

Both KH-22 and KH-33 are cruise missiles that pose a challenge for Ukraine due to their speed of up to 6,000 kilometers per hour. Neutralizing these Russian weapons has proven difficult, with only a few successful attempts reported.

Reports indicate that hundreds of these missiles have been deployed, resulting in significant destruction. On January 14, 2023, a KH-22 missile hit a nine-story building in Dnipro, claiming the lives of 44 residents and injuring 73 others.
