Authorities also shared the information that the earthquake displaced over 61,000 individuals.

The 6.8 magnitude earthquake that struck China's Tibet Autonomous Region on January 7 resulted in the loss of 126 lives and left 188 individuals injured.

The earthquake, which occurred at a depth of 10 kilometers at 09:05 local time, caused varying degrees of damage to over 3000 structures.

Officials noted that search and rescue operations involving over 14,000 personnel are ongoing, with 407 individuals already rescued from the rubble.
