Taliban abduct more bus passengers

kabul - The radical Islamic Taliban in the northwestern province of Sar-e Pul Afghanistan seventeen people kidnapped from a minibus. All hostages were civilians, said county spokesman Sabiullah Aman Thursday. It is not known where they are now.
Tuesday rebels had already taken dozens of bus passengers hostage in Kunduz province. Twelve of them were slain. Eight of the hostages are still in Taliban hands. Who claim that their hostages were Afghan soldiers, but the government denies.
Taliban fighters hold since months all kinds of vehicles to try to identify government officials or security forces. These are then threatened, kidnapped or slain.
