Syrians back to the streets against Assad

- In parts of Syria that are in the hands of insurgents are civilians Friday took to the streets to demonstrate against the regime of President Bashar al-Assad. Under the motto 'The revolution continues', the demonstrators showed that after five years of civil war still want political change.

The demonstrators waved the green, white and black Syrian flag of the Baath era, who was often seen at the start of the uprising against Assad. It was impossible to determine what percentage of the population represented the protesters. But many protesters let know by phone or text message to a reporter from The New York Times that they are determined to demonstrate against Assad when there is only a break in the air strikes by government forces or their Russian allies.
