damascus - Syrian Kurds and their allies in northern Syria declared an autonomous region. The region receives a federal system, the statement alleged.
The Turkish government responded immediately by saying that they will not tolerate a Kurdish state in northern Syria. Damascus claimed that the establishment of a federal system in the Kurdish area has no legal or political consequences.
