Syria envoy puts pressure on US and Russia

- If the United States and Russia are not quickly taking forward the success of the cease-fire in Syria peace talks may have to be postponed again. That says special envoy of the United Nations, Staffan de Mistura.

The truce went into Saturday. Since then, the violence abated according to international observers, if it is not halted. The warring parties accuse each other of violating the cease-fire.

If the violence is not further reduced and there is no more space for humanitarian assistance, De Mistura is considering to postpone the next round of peace talks 'somewhat.' The peace agreement is now for next Monday on the roll.
