Man Shoots Alleged Rapist and Kidnapper of His Daughter Dead and Now Faces Charges

arkansas, usa - An American man, Aaron Spencer, shoots the 67-year-old Michael Fosler dead after finding him with his daughter, who had been allegedly kidnapped and raped by Fosler. Spencer now faces legal battle over the charges.

36-year-old American Aaron Spencer reported to the Lonoke County police last Tuesday that his daughter was missing from her bedroom. Frantic, Spencer got into his truck and drove around the area to find her.

He eventually came across the car containing 67-year-old Michael Fosler, with his daughter inside. Spencer knew Fosler well, as he had allegedly kidnapped and raped his daughter a few months earlier and was out on bail.

The enraged father intentionally crashed into Fosler's car to make him stop. Fosler fled on foot but was shot dead by Spencer.

War veteran Aaron Spencer is currently in custody, facing potential charges ranging from premeditated murder, which carries a life sentence, to manslaughter, which could result in five years in Arkansas. His wife has launched a media campaign to have him acquitted, calling his arrest 'outrageous'.

The mother revealed Fosler had manipulated, abducted, and assaulted their daughter. Fosler, who had violated a restraining order, was a suspect in the previous case.

'We let the justice system work. The monster who hurt our child was quickly charged, but released on a $50,000 bail even faster,' the mother said.

She credited a 'sign from above' for leading Spencer to Fosler. 'Aaron could save our child alive, but he was attacked and did what he had to do to protect himself and our minor child,' she added.

'I have no doubt our child wouldn't have come home if my husband hadn't found her,' she continued, calling Spencer a 'hero'.

Spencer, now out on bail, is fundraising for a defense lawyer. Sheriff John Staley stressed it's up to the Lonoke County Prosecutor to decide the charges against him, emphasizing the 'tragic situation' and mentioning his own daughters.
