london - The son of the former Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi will hand over evidence to the French justice that former President Nicolas Sarkozy has received money from Libya for his election campaign. That reported the American channel NBC News Friday.

Justice in France has initiated a judicial investigation into the 63-year-old Sarkozy because in 2007 he received financial support from the former Libyan leader Muammar Kaddafi. A French-Libyan businessman claimed in November 2016 that he had at the time transferred three suitcases with money from Gaddafi to Sarkozy through his confidant Claude Guéant. That involved 5 million euros.

'I can confirm that I still have solid evidence about Sarkozy,' said Seif al-Islam Gadhafi against an African subsidiary of NBC. 'I have seen with my own eyes the delivery of the first sum of money to Sarkozy's husband Claude Guéant in Tripoli. '
