- You would think that we all web antics of the 90s have left us in 2015, but that is not so. If you have a desktop app like AVG, Skype, or downloading Vuze will add them secretly trying toolbars to your system or to change your default home page and browser.

If your browser packed with toolbars is, or if you prefer just reconnect with DuckDuckGo then searches with Bing, you can read below how you can begin to attack these enemies in Chrome, Firefox, and Internet Explorer. Internet ExplorerNet many other modern browsers allows an Internet Explorer toolbar not run automatically- you must manually activate the intruder. But it can still happen if you are not careful. To installed toolbars to clean up, click Options in the toolbar (if it is hidden, press the Alt key to conjure him out) and select Manage Add-ons in the menu. A new window will appear, and at the top you can see all toolbars that are hidden in your browser to see stand. Highlight a toolbar that you do not want and press the bottom of the window, click the Disable button. Repeat for all the toolbars you want from, and you're done. If a toolbar you have taken the default search engine, stay in the window and click on Search Engines in the left navigation column. Mark again all you do not want, and click at the bottom of the window, click Delete. If you want to reset your homepage, click the gear icon in the upper right and select Internet Options. Open in the window that appears the GENERAL tab, and you'll see at the top of a text field. Take what is already gone, and replace it with your favorite homepage (like https: // www google com ..). Then press OK. FirefoxHet is harder to turn a toolbar in Firefox by mistake but everybody makes mistakes. To solve the problem, click on the burger menu button in the upper left corner of the browser. In the Add-ons menu. In the tab that opens, click Extensions in the left navigation column. Select the toolbar you want to remove and click the Disable button at the far right of the page. It may be that you have to reboot, but wait with it if you plan to remove several toolbars. To regain your favorite search engine in Firefox, go back to the main Firefox interface. Click the search engine icon in the search bar to the right of the address bar. Then simply select a search engine from the menu. To recover your old home page, click on the top right menu button and select Options. Then in the window that appears, select General. At the top you'll see Home. Highlight the text field next to it and enter the URL of your favorite home page. Chrome Chrome is still less enamored of toolbars than other browsers, and sometimes it's downright difficult such a toolbar at all to get to work. But sometimes we want just for fun download and install a toolbar. Fortunately, you can dump them just as easily. Press the burger menu in the upper right corner and select Settings from the menu. In the tab that appears, click in the left navigation column on Extensions. Scroll down until you get the toolbar to which you encounter on search, and uncheck Enabled to or click the trash can icon. If you do the latter, you throw the toolbar away forever, while you stop it by unchecking the toolbar but not de-install. Chrome also repels against changes to the default search engine, but if you want to change it once you do the following. Go again to the Chrome Settings tab, but this time choose Settings in the left navigation column. Under Search, click the drop-down menu and select your favorite search engine. To restore your home page settings, look at the top in the same Settings menu. Under On startup, click the link Set pages. There appears a new window with the pages that open automatically when you load the browser. Hover your cursor over the pages that you do not want and click the X to the right to remove unwanted hijackers. You can also choose which pages you want to load their URLs to add here at startup. That's it, everything is back to normal! Changes to your toolbars, home page, and search engine are annoying, but it happens every now and then if you're not careful when to install new software. Now that you know at least how to get things back in order, there might occur a disaster. This article is brought to you by Total Computer. nl
