washington - President Trump announces the early replacement of top US military official Charles 'CQ' Brown, while the Supreme Court blocks another dismissal.

Trump's Decision to Replace Charles 'CQ' Brown

President Trump has announced the early replacement of the top US military official, Charles 'CQ' Brown, who served as the second black Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. The newly appointed Defense Secretary, Pete Hegseth, raised doubts about Brown's qualifications in one of his books, questioning whether his skin color played a role in his appointment.

Trump expressed gratitude for Brown's service and nominated Lieutenant General Dan 'Razin' Caine as the next Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. Additionally, Trump plans to replace military officials in five other high-ranking positions within the US military. This decision follows previous announcements of large-scale dismissals within the civilian personnel of the US Department of Defense.

Supreme Court's Intervention

The US Supreme Court has temporarily blocked President Trump from dismissing the head of the whistleblower protection organization, allowing top official Hampton Dellinger to remain in his position at least until Wednesday. This marks the first time the Supreme Court, which appears to have a majority of judges sympathetic to Trump, has ruled on the new president's political decisions.

A lower court had previously ordered Dellinger to retain his position until February 26th. The Supreme Court declined to lift this order on Friday, stating that it will remain in effect until Wednesday, when a hearing will determine the next steps.
