- Napoli is negotiating a deal with Manchester United for Rasmus Højlund as a replacement for Romelu Lukaku, who is out for up to four months. Højlund's future at Old Trafford is uncertain.

Napoli in Talks with Manchester United for Rasmus Højlund Transfer

Napoli is in discussions with Manchester United regarding the potential transfer of Rasmus Højlund, following Romelu Lukaku's injury setback. The Serie A champions are seeking a replacement for Lukaku, who is sidelined with a thigh injury for an extended period.

Højlund's Uncertain Future at Manchester United

Rasmus Højlund, the 22-year-old Danish international, is reportedly available for transfer from United after the arrival of Benjamin Sesko from RB Leipzig. Napoli is looking to secure an initial loan deal for Højlund, with the option to make the move permanent next summer.

Valued at around £40 million ($53.83m) by United, Højlund has been on the sidelines for the club's recent matches, hinting at limited playing opportunities under the new setup.

Interest from Other Clubs

Despite Napoli's pursuit, other clubs such as AC Milan, Juventus, Fulham, and Celtic have also expressed interest in signing Højlund. The young talent, who joined United in a £64 million deal from Atlanta in 2023, aims to secure more playing time ahead of the upcoming World Cup.

His desire for regular football has intensified following the competition for places at United, raising speculations about his future amidst the ongoing transfer talks.
