A man accused of fatally stabbing three young girls in North England's Southport has confessed to three murders and ten attempted murders in court. The stabbing incident, which took place in July last year, sparked national outrage and riots.

The three girls, aged 6, 7, and 9, were stabbed to death during a dance class to Taylor Swift's music. Eight other children were injured, along with two adults who tried to shield the children. A 17-year-old suspect, Axel Rudakubana, was quickly arrested and has since turned 18.

Rudakubana also admitted in court in Liverpool to producing the toxic substance ricin and possessing a training manual from al-Qaeda. The judge is set to deliver the verdict on Thursday.
