Liverpool's Arne Slot Defends Transfer Spending Amid Pundit Criticism

Liverpool manager Arne Slot has spoken out against pundits who he believes show bias towards other clubs, as he justifies the club's £450m investment in summer transfers. Slot emphasized that the substantial spending was balanced by nearly £300m in player sales.

Debut for Alexander Isak

Alexander Isak, who was signed from Newcastle for a British record fee of £125 million, is set to potentially make his debut in the upcoming Champions League match against Atlético Madrid. Slot confirmed Isak's presence in the squad but ruled out a full 90-minute appearance.

Slot stated, 'There is definitely a chance because he is in the squad. Then there's a chance to play. It's 100% sure that he will not play 90 minutes.'

As Liverpool gears up for the high-stakes game, Slot hinted at Isak's involvement, keeping the team's options open for the match.
